Happy New Year! Do you have big goals in 2018? Eating clean? Working out? Reading your Bible? I love to workout, but I’ve learned over the years that I want to look (and feel) good while doing it, so I’m extremely particular about my workout gear.
I typically work out 5-7 days a week. Currently, my workout routine is early in the morning (my alarm goes off at 4:00 a.m. on weekdays) and I jump on the elliptical for an hour. On the weekends, I like to get outside and go running on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons or if it’s too cold I’ll get on the elliptical. I love attending Pure Barre as well and sometimes mix up my workout to be a barre workout via YouTube.
When I first started working out regularly, I started buying things from very popular brands, but quickly realized that I didn’t enjoy working out in these clothes because they didn’t fit me right (too short is usually the problem). I finally discovered Zella that’s available at Nordstrom and LOVE it. I’m not a fan of high wasted regular pants or jeans, but when it comes to workout pants…they must be high wasted. I don’t want to have to tug and pull them up in a workout class in public or on the elliptical at home.
On Saturday’s, I usually shower after my workout and then change into more workout gear because I’m going to be doing chores around the house or getting things done and I want to be comfortable. Zella has an extensive selection that provides both staple pieces (blacks, grays, and whites), as well as some funky and trend pieces. Not only does Zella fit me better, it’s affordable and the quality is great…PLUS since it’s from Nordstrom, you can get your pants hemmed if they are too long (Zella’s pants fit me perfectly in length though…all the praise hands!).
The fun thing I’ve noticed lately with Zella is that there are some of the same staple pieces year after year. I always love when brands do this so I know that my gear is still on trend and often times looks like I just bought it.
What’s your go to workout gear brand? I’m always on the hunt for fun pieces that are long enough for my legs and are made well!
Shout out your 2018 goals in the comments! I’d love to hear from you!
